Flamarens. "L’Art prend l’R" with local artists
The association "Les Amis de Flamarens" organizes each summer an art exhibition called "L’Art prend l’R" with several local artists of varied influences and painting techniques: abstract unstructured paintings in oil and acrylic colors and gestural dynamics, other more academic and figurative paintings have a genuine concern for detail and a few works approach Aboriginal painting resembling pointillism. Also on the rails, beautiful black and white photos of leaves and plants that may be confused with engravings; some sculptures also offer visitors a wide range of different talents but all in support to this courageous and pugnacious association represented by Gilbert Blanc and his daughter Dominique who have been anxious for many years to restore, preserve and save this magnificent heritage of St. Saturnin small church.
