At Edith Beauvais’ guest house, road to Lussan, the painter artist Sylvie Landois-Maynard, SLM, exhibits some twenty artworks. The visitor who will step inside the beautiful Bastide de Lassalle, will plunge into the "destructive" but very well built world as seen by SLM. One way to approach a specific environment which is not accessible to everyone.

Daring, but understandable

In fact, "New York Reversed" is after all quite daring but perfectly understandable, like here and there, city maps, factories, streets with thin perspectives sometimes highlighted. It makes you wonder if SLM is not seeking to have fun in this chaotic world which she sometimes looks for in Havana, Cuba. Unless her paintings are the result of an architectural research which appears to be her motto. The exhibition by SLM is open until 15 September at Bastide de Lassalle, road to Lussan, Roquetaillade. Admission is free.
