Art Animation

The Art Animation organised by Artemis will take place from 7 March to 10 March included at the Tourism Office.

The first Art Animation will take place in the Tourism Office Gallery, Maison du Roy. For the occasion, Jacky Grange, well known in the artistic world, will propose an exhibition of four artists' works via his association Artémis. His aim is to create a cultural centre in Lot-et-Garonne, with the help of all artists performing art animations via exhibitions and shows.

On 7 March opening evening, a show is programmed with Alex Markham, a guitarist, who will animate the evening as soon as 8:30. Entrance to the show and exhibition is free (free participation). During the exhibition, a tombola will be organised - prizes being part of the works exhibited. Four artists will be present.

Gladys Humel, from Belfast, was a student from Higher School of Modern Art in Paris. She is keen on printed material. She received several prizes and distinctions. She now works as a plastician and will show her work. SLM, Sylvie Landois-Maynard, an artist painter from Paris, now lives in the South West and presents artworks where space is rounded up, a design rich in emotion which invites you to deeper thought beyond the artwork.

Danièle Maffray, a painter from the South West, invites you to enter her dreams. She always shows poetry and beauty through her works. People will be under the spell of this autodidact who, since she was five, has not been in an art school but been drawing, transposing what she sees with whole freedom of sight and spirit.

Rose-Marie Naime, a poet, moves the soul and transmits stamina and life energy through her writings. Reading or listening to her poems will undoubtedly captivate, dazzle and nourrish you with "musical and poetical" substance.

CASTELJALOUX - The "Créat'elles" Exhibition of Artanimation has attracted an audience from 7 to 10 March, at the Tourism Office Gallery

A STARTING SUCCESS

A real success for the first exhibition of Créat'elles-Artanimation which took place from 7 to 10 March, 2008, in the beautiful gallery of the Tourism Office, Maison du Roy, at Casteljaloux.

Marleen Moyra Looijen, president of Artemis, and Jacky Grange have chosen Casteljaloux, where they were welcomed genially. On this occasion, they presented the works of two painters and a sculptor: Gladys Humel, SLM (Sylvie Landois-Maynard), Danièle Maffray, as well as Rose-Marie Naime, a poet, through Artemis association (www.artanimation.org).

Passionate Readings. The animation started by the inauguration with the presentation of the artists, the passionate readings of poems by their author, Rose-Marie Naime, then the excellent interpretation of "Les Lettres de mon Moulin" by Alice Oudet and Caroline Queruel. A nice evening which lasted quite late at night.

The exhibition was on until Monday for the pleasure of those who came.

Artemis has already planned three more "artanimations": in early spring, one will take place in a restaurant at Aiguillon, then in early summer there will be a rally in the Lot valley where fifteen artists will exhibit in several places of the region, and a survey will incite visitors to join in.

In September, Sainte-Livrade will welcome Artemis. Here, there will be a huge surprise. Moreover, Alice Oudet and Caroline Queruel, with thanks from the organisers, have at short notice replaced the guitarist Alex Markham (victim of a ski accident). They will perform at Gamarde-les-Bains in the Landes on Saturday 26 April, with monologues by Feydeau in the first part, interpreted by Julien Eyheramono.
